Dominica host many whales and dolphins along its shores throughout the year. Concerning whales and sperm whales: Males arrive around November for the mating season. 12 months after the calf is born. He will spend his first months along Dominica’s coast with his mother. Every year we organize excursions by sea and with a little luck and to our great joy, whales and dolphins accompany us during our outing.

Dominica also host sea turtles, they are breading marine reptiles therefore we see them on the surface while breading. We have different kind of turtles living on our coast and often we have hatchlings that were born on our coast and find their way back to the sea. As a diver you see them for 95% on every dive!!! When you take your time, you will experience a dive with “a turtle” as your buddy.
